A boy and his wagon

Cadence was a perfect model!  He is 6 months old.  Now he is my grandson so I might be a little prejudice, but don’t you think he should be on a billboard somewhere? LOL  The portraits are a special technique I use to create one-of-a-kind wall portraits.  If you have a child that needs his portrait updated, consider this type of art for your walls.  I love it because it is recording tomorrow’s history in a unique way.  It makes a piece of art that says, “I’m a keeper!”

I had so much fun with my little grandson and his parents this weekend.  My daughter Melodee and her husband Sam brought Cadence for a visit.  Of course, we had to do 6 month portraits.  He performed perfectly having had a lot of practice with his photographer mom!little buckaroo1 300x300

Another soggy day

It is raining here in South Dakota!  But I am thankful it is not ice.  Maybe some flurries tomorrow:)

I give my granddaughter piano lessons on Wed. at her house so the 3 muchkins should be home soon!  Went to my weekly Bible Study this morning.  My day away from the office but with good purpose!  Nice to have my own schedule since I retired from teaching.

Back from NLPPA

Spent 2 days at the Northern Lights Professional Photographers Association.  What a great time!  I met some great fellow photogs from SD, MN, NB.  We listened to Chris Carlson on Sunday.  He had some great information about building backgrounds for Seniors.  I am so excited to get outside and use the materials around my farm to create some great sets for the Senior season.

We also spent a day with Julie Klaasmeyer who owns a Boutique studio in Kansas.  She has great energy and has set trends in baby photography….. one of my other passions!  One of her tips I’ll be trying is “the sticker on the nose” trick to capture those 2 year old moving targets!  Can’t wait!

Today I must prepare for a prom bid.  I’ll post a photo in a few days.
