Dillon Schenkel
I really enjoyed meeting Dillon. He is one of my 2011 Senior Models. What an awesome guy! Looks like a model, doesn’t he? Dillon is a senior at Washington High in Sioux Falls. He is a baseball player and plans to play college baseball. We went to the beautiful Elk Point SD baseball diamond and took images there. What a great place to photograph the baseball players! Thanks Dillon for joining my team this year. You have a bright future ahead of you!

Gregg and Gayle Stroschien Family
It was so much fun visiting with Gayle this morning at the viewing. She is program director for S.T.E.M.M., a medical mission group that is doing so much more than that! Check them out at http://www.stemm.org/. They are doing an auction in November to raise support and awareness. Now I want to go to Africa!!! Anywho! It was great fun photographing this family. You can tell their grandchildren find their grandparents pretty special people!

Congratulations to Kathy and Dallas Klemme
Kathy and Dallas Klemme have been drawn as the winners to my Family Farm Photo Legacy project. They will receive a FREE visit by me to their farm. I will spend a couple of hours photographing the farm, the work, the family and whatever else they want. They also will receive $500.00 in photo credit to purchase what they want from my product line. I am very excited about this. I can’t wait to post the results!
Grant Nicholas Glover
A special welcome to Adam and Becky Glover’s new baby. He’s got Dad’s dimples and is a little peanut having decided to present himself earlier than expected! It is so much fun to take these little newborns and play with them while they are sleeping! You can do the darnedest things!
Good Bye Old Friend
It was a sad week in the Norwegian countryside of Elk Point, South Dakota. We lost Clarence. Well, I should say Clarence went home. He was eager to get home and God finally called him home. What an awesome experience to lay to rest the body of one of God’s faithful. He did not make it to his birthday but that’s OK. He wanted to get home. Clarence helped build the church he was buried in. Standing by the graveside for the final prayers, I could not help but think of the TV movies that show a funeral out on the prairie. A gentle wind blew on a perfect day. The crowd was mostly older. But there we stood amongst the gravestones of so many other faithful followers of Jesus Christ. Clarence saw the 20th Century and go. He seemed to accept it as we all should. God help us all to remain faithful to You until you call each of us home. Thank you Clarence for your example of quiet steady faith.

The Rob Vinson Family

What a great family! We were working on a family portrait and a 2 years old shot for Treyce. And Treyce had us all figured out. He really made me work for that smile. Boy, will he be a tease when he gets older. His eyes alone will make you melt! Here at my studio in Elk Point, South Dakota, I was privileged to photograph this beautiful family. Thank you Rob and Janeane for giving me this opportunity! Can’t wait to show you the rest.
A boy and his wagon
Cadence was a perfect model! He is 6 months old. Now he is my grandson so I might be a little prejudice, but don’t you think he should be on a billboard somewhere? LOL The portraits are a special technique I use to create one-of-a-kind wall portraits. If you have a child that needs his portrait updated, consider this type of art for your walls. I love it because it is recording tomorrow’s history in a unique way. It makes a piece of art that says, “I’m a keeper!”
